History:

TC 9500-9699, built 4-53 at Pullman's Bessemer, AL plant.

180 cars were sold to United States Railway Equipment Co. and leased back by TC ca. 4-5/1967. Renumbered to TC 801-980. As of early 1968, there were still 15 of the 9500-9699 cars left on the roster with their original numbers.

In 1968, known assignments were coal, rock, phosphate and general service.

After bankruptcy in 1968, 2 of these cars are known to have been acquired by L&N: 9525, renumbered to L&N 85590; and another (TC number unknown) to L&N 85591.
