I model the Nashville and Eastern railroad in 1:29 scale. You’ll find a lot of HO scale Tennessee Central stuff on my website. However, as I have chosen to focus on NERR in 1:29, I won’t be pursuing any new projects in any other areas. I build what I want, for my own purposes. Even though I sell some of these things, and I’m required to report those sales at the end of the year, this is more of a hobby than a business. I have never made a profit on it, and I don’t expect I ever will. I already have a full-time job anyway.
With that said, here are a few rules I have for myself:
1 - I do not sell finished models - only un-built kits.
2 - I do not do custom work, of any kind. (Exception: decals can be printed in other scales, but you’ll have to email me for a quote).
3 - I don’t speculate on what you might order - kits are only made up when you order them. There’s generally a 2-3 week lead time, depending on how many you want.
4 - I do not resell or distribute other manufacturer’s parts. I don’t want to have to keep up an inventory of someone else’s stuff, nor do I have the room to store it. Most of the parts you’ll need are available from
Walthers. For those of you outside the US, Walthers can give you a better shipping rate than I can anyway.5 - The prices stated on the website are not negotiable. None of us really need any of this stuff, and if I’m going to give to charity, there are people who need it worse than you.
6 - If it’s not on the website, it’s not for sale.
7 - I have no distributors, or storefront – I only sell direct via the website, or mail order.
8 - I accept PayPal, personal checks, or money orders. I cannot accept credit cards. Please don’t send cash through the mail.
9 - I only use USPS for shipping.
